Q: Do you provide free esimates? A: Yes, we will be happy to take a look at a project that you are working on and provide a written estimate at no charge.
A: Our base service call rate includes up to the first hour of
service. Many basic problems such as a small leak or repair can be handled within one hour. Any supplies or materials provided by us are also billed with the service call.
Q: Are there things I can do to determine if I have a leak in my water system? A: If you suspect you may have a water leak (you hear running water but cannot locate the source, or you have standing water not associated with rainfall), you should shut off all of your faucets and look at your water meter. If the meter is still moving, then you likely have a leak somewhere in the system.
Q: My water is not as hot as I would like, or runs out too quickly. What can I do to get more hot water? A: In some cases there may be a faulty thermostat or burned-out element causing luke-warm water, or not enough hot water. Another problem could be a smaller water heater than your demand requires. Wilmington Plumbing can provide and install electric water heaters available in 40 gallon, 50 gallon, and 80 gallons sizes. We are also certified to install Rinnai Tankless water heaters, which provide continuous-flow hot water:

A: There are fixtures available that use much less water and help conserve water use. Examples include low-consumption showerheads and water closets, and aerators for sink faucets. Using dye to check for leaks in toilets is another way to determine if you are losing water. Put a few drops of food coloring in your toilet tank; look for the food coloring in the bowl prior to flushing. If you see the food coloring in the bowl this would indicated a bad flapper, causing you to use unnecessary water. Find a great deal on flapper replacements in the
monthly special.
